Privacy

This site has no database of its own. What you type into the contact form is passed straight to Greg by email, an address you give for a free guide goes to the email service that sends it, and page views are counted only if you agree to it. This page explains all three.

What the contact form asks for

The form asks for three things: your name, your email address, and your message. It asks for nothing else.

Nothing is saved on this site. These pages are plain files with no database behind them, so there is nowhere here for a message to be kept. The form is handled by Web3Forms, an outside service that takes what you typed and delivers it to Greg by email.

Your email address is there so that Greg can write back to you. Sending a message does not add you to any mailing list.

The spam check on the form

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It is a check that runs in your browser and tells the form whether it was filled in by a person or by a machine. Sometimes it shows a small box to tick; often you will not see anything at all. It runs from Cloudflare, so Cloudflare sees that the check took place.

The sign-up form for free guides uses the same kind of check.

Signing up for a free guide

Some pages offer a free guide by email. To ask for one, you give your email address and, if you like, your first name. The form asks for nothing else.

What you type goes from your browser straight to Brevo, the email service that sends the guides. Nothing is saved on this site.

Before anything else, Brevo sends you an email asking you to confirm your address, and nothing else is sent until you do. Once you confirm, the guide arrives by email, and a few more emails from Greg may follow it. The page you signed up on never shows the guide itself — it only ever arrives in your inbox.

Every one of those emails has a link at the foot to unsubscribe. Use it whenever you like and the emails stop.

How page views are counted

Page views are counted with Google Analytics, a service run by Google. None of it loads until you say yes: when you first arrive, a panel at the foot of the page asks, and nothing is counted and nothing is put on your device until you have answered.

If you say yes, Google Analytics puts a small file — a cookie — on your device. It is what lets Google tell one visit from the next, and Google may connect what you do here with what you do on other sites it measures. If you say no, none of that is loaded at all, and the site works exactly the same.

You can change your mind whenever you like. Every page has a link at the foot that asks again, and choosing no takes the file off your device.

Asking for a message to be deleted

Nothing is saved on this site, so there is nothing here to delete. To ask Greg to delete the email he was sent, use the same form and say so.
